Bulk actions

When you need to clean up many entries at once, bulk actions save you from deleting them one by one. This guide covers how to select multiple entries and run a batch delete.

Selecting entries

Checkbox selection

Each entry row in the grid has a checkbox on the left. Click the checkbox to toggle selection for that entry. Repeat for each entry you want to include.

Select all

To select every entry currently visible in the grid (respecting active filters):

1. Click the Select all checkbox in the header row above the grid.
2. All visible entries are selected.
3. Click again to deselect all.

Checking your selection

The toolbar displays the number of entries currently selected, for example "12 selected". This count updates in real time as you add or remove entries from the selection.

Available bulk actions

Once you have selected one or more entries, the bulk-action toolbar appears at the top of the grid.

Delete selected

Remove all selected entries permanently.

1. Select the entries you want to delete.
2. Click Delete in the bulk-action toolbar.
3. A confirmation dialog appears showing how many entries will be removed.
4. Confirm to proceed.

Deleted entries cannot be recovered, so review your selection carefully before confirming.

Tips for managing large collections

Use filters before selecting

Narrow the grid with filters first, then use Select all to grab exactly the entries you need. For example:

1. Filter by a topic to see only matching entries.
2. Click Select all.
3. Delete the batch.

Work in batches

If you have hundreds of entries to process, break the work into smaller batches:

1. Sort by date to see the oldest or newest entries first.
2. Select a manageable group (20 to 50 entries).
3. Perform the bulk action.
4. Repeat with the next batch.

This approach reduces the risk of accidentally including entries you did not intend to modify.

Review before deleting

Deletion is permanent. Before running a bulk delete:

• Double-check the selection count in the toolbar.
• Scroll through selected entries to confirm they are correct.

Limitations

• Bulk actions apply only to entries visible in the current grid view. If filters are hiding entries, those entries are not affected.
• The maximum number of entries you can select at once depends on how many are loaded in the grid. Scroll down to load more before selecting.
• Some operations (for example, bulk delete of a large number of entries) may take a few seconds to complete. A progress indicator appears during processing.
