Canvas

Show any view as a canvas: lay out live entry cards, add notes, arrows, frames and drawings, then present or export it.

Any view in Ultrathink can be shown as a canvas: a board you can pan and zoom, where each entry is a live card you place where you like. Add sticky notes, text, arrows, frames and drawings around the cards to plan a week, map a project or think something through.

AI tools connected through the MCP server can place cards, notes and arrows too. An open canvas shows their changes as they land, and what you are editing at that moment is kept.

These pages cover making a canvas from a view, the tools on the board, presenting and exporting, the canvas keyboard shortcuts, and what happened to the boards you had on the old work plan.

  1. 1 Canvas views Show any view as a canvas, bring its entries onto the board from the tray, and work with live entry cards. Also covers the card cap and Settings > Canvas.
  2. 2 Notes, arrows, frames and drawing The canvas tools: notes, text, arrows, frames, shapes, the pen, highlighter, eraser and laser, stamps, arranging, groups, snapping, copy and paste, and undo.
  3. 3 Presenting and exporting Present a canvas frame by frame, export it as PNG, SVG or JSON Canvas, and change its theme, hand-drawn style and focus mode.
  4. 4 Canvas shortcuts Every keyboard shortcut on a canvas: tools, editing, arranging, the view, notes, arrows and present mode.
  5. 5 Moving from the work plan What happened to your work plan boards: each one is now a canvas view of its own, with its cards, notes, labels and drawings.
